In a dramatic rescue, locals of southern India’s Telangana saved a car and its passengers from being swept away by floodwaters caused by heavy rains.

The incident took place at Mallepally Village, Ootkuru Mandal, Makthal Constituency, Mahaboobnagar District on August 31.

Visuals showed in a flooded area, a car was trapped with several people inside. The vehicle was surrounded by rising water, creating a perilous situation for those inside. Local rescuers arrived at the scene and methodically worked to save the occupants. Each person was carefully extracted from the car one by one, as the water continued to encroach upon the vehicle, ensuring that everyone was brought to safety.

In a critical moment, a car carrying travellers was at risk of being washed away by the swelling waters. Fortunately, local residents acted swiftly and courageously, intervening just in time to prevent the car from being lost to the floods. Their timely and heroic actions ensured the safety of both the vehicle and its occupants.
