In an unsettling discovery in southern India’s Telangana, the sight of a lizard floating in a beer bottle left the public questioning food safety standards.

The incident took place in Vikarabad district and the video went viral on October 25.

Visuals showed one of the men shaking the beer bottle, revealing the remains of a lizard floating inside.

According to reports, two men, Laxmikant Reddy and Anantayya from Kerelli village, had purchased liquor worth Rs 4,000 from a local wine shop in Dharur for a social gathering. Their celebration turned sour when they noticed something unusual inside a Budweiser beer bottle. Following the incident, they lodged a complaint, but the wine shop owner deflected responsibility, suggesting the issue might have stemmed from the brewery itself.
