In a recent incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh a liquor shop owner was assaulted after he denied providing services after the closing hours.

The incident took place in Kanpur on June 23.

Visuals depicted a tense situation outside a closed liquor shop, where four men exited from the side gate of the shop, sparking a confrontation. Both parties engaged in physical altercations. The shop owner intervened, wielding a wiper in an attempt to fight back the attackers. Local bystanders intervened to ease the escalating tensions and prevent the situation from getting worse.

According to reports, the police are looking into the matter and searching for the assaulters based on the available footage.
