Leopard rescued after it fell into well in central India

A leopard was rescued after it fell into a 40-feet deep well in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

This incident happened in Mardana village of Sanawad forest area, Khargone district on December 24.


Visuals showed the rescue operation of the leopard take place. The forest department officials had lowered a cage into the well which had water, in order to have the wild animal enter it and be saved. The big cat, aged about three,, as a report  states, prevented itself from going into the water by sitting on the motor pump inside the well. Anurag Tiwari, the Barwah Forest Divisional officer was informed about this leopard. Soon they arrived at spot and the rescued the leopard in an effort that lasted 3 hours. The rescue operation was successful and villagers breathed a sigh of relief when the leopard was captured inside of the cage. A female, the leopard and the cae were lifted out. The officials will release the leopard in Barhwah but before that doctors would be conducting a medical examination.
