Leopard launches sudden attack on locals after entering residential area in northern India
A leopard launched a sudden attack on locals after it strayed into a residential area in northern India’s Delhi.
This incident took place in Jagatpura village, Wazirabad on April 1.
Visuals showed the leopard on a terrace of one of the buildings in the residential area. The wild animal hurriedly attempted to escape and was seen jumping from the terrace. The cops and officials rushed to the spot in a bid to address the situation of panic which was caused after the leopard had strayed into the place. A huge group of people had gathered in the area and one of the injured was also seen with his head and chin bandaged.
According to a report, the leopard attacked five in this area out of which two to three are in a critical condition. The big cat jumped off a terrace and entered into a house where it was trapped in a room.
The information about the fire was sent to the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) and two fire tenders to the spot. The fire officials along with the locals managed to trap the leopard inside of a room. It was also reported that a call was made to the Police Control Room (PCR) at around 5:15 am IST (Indian Standard Time) which stated that the leopard has appeared in the area and tried to attack several people. The injured were rushed to the hospital.
