Leopard falls into open well in western India, rescued

The incident took place in Savarkundla city, Amreli district on September 5.

Visuals showed the team of the forest department reaching the incident spot with a big cage in a jeep. They brought the cage near the well and held a long rope that they put inside the well. The wild animal was seen holding onto a water pipe that was put inside the well by the officials.
The leopard held the rope with its mouth and tried to climb up with the water pipe. After a long struggle, the leopard was pulled and put inside the big cage.
According to reports, the 5-year-old leopard accidentally fell into the well while running in search of prey. After the rescue, the captured leopard was taken out and immediately moved to the Animal Care Center where the leopard’s health will be checked and after recovery, the leopard will be released back to the forest revenue area.
