Leopard falls into 15-feet deep well in northern India, rescued

A leopard was rescued after it fell into a 15-feet deep well in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident happened in the Dhamrola village located in the Noorpur area, Bijnor district on January 29.

Visuals showed the leopard inside the dry well. Efforts were made to rescue the animal where people laid out a net and also lowered a ladder into the well for it to come out.

But it didn’t work out as it was learnt that the animal was scared as there was a lot of commotion with a group of people having gathered at the spot. Eventually, the forest department officials came up with a plan.

They dug out one side of the well which made a way for the leopard to escape through the path.
