Leopard causes panic as it climbs tree in town center in central India
A leopard was spotted in central India’s Chattisgarh creating a wave of panic among the residents. The leopard was seen perched on a mango tree in the courtyard of Khammalal Nishad’s house, near the bus stand.
The incident took place at Bhanupratappur, which is located in Kanker district on July 2.
Visuals showed a leopard, having ventured out of the jungle, perched on a mango tree in a residential area for quite some time.
According to the reports, authorities, including forest officials and police, are currently at the scene. According to reports, the leopard’s presence has frightened the local population, as it could attack at any moment. Despite the danger, a crowd has gathered to catch a glimpse of the wild cat.
DFO Duleshwar Prasad Sahu mentioned that a team of experts from Kanker is on their way to safely capture the leopard. The police are diligently working to keep the public at a safe distance while the experts prepare to handle the situation.
