A leopard was spotted in where it was captured on CCTV carrying away a dog. This has raised concerns among the villagers, who reported the sighting to the forest department.

The incident took place at Bankhedi village, which falls under the Naugawan Sadat police station area in Amroha district on September 6.

Visuals showed a leopard walking outside a house, moving stealthily in the dim light. The leopard’s muscular body and spotted fur blend with the shadows, making it appear like a ghostly figure prowling through the night. Its eyes are sharp and alert, scanning the surroundings as it steps cautiously. In its powerful jaws, it holds a lifeless dog, its head drooping down. The dog’s body swings slightly with each step the leopard takes. The scene is eerie and tense, capturing a moment of raw wilderness right outside a human dwelling.

On Saturday morning, when villagers reviewed the footage, they were shocked to see the leopard in action. Alarmed by the repeated sightings, the villagers immediately informed the forest department. According to the villagers, this is the fourth time in a week that the leopard has been seen in the area, creating an atmosphere of fear and unease.

In response to the leopard’s presence, the villagers are now taking extra precautions. They have begun gathering in groups when heading to work in the fields near the forest to ensure their safety. The leopard’s recurring appearance has caused a sense of panic in the region, as people fear further attacks. The forest department has yet to take action in response to these reports, and the residents continue to remain on high alert.
