In a successful operation, wildlife authorities in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir have captured a leopard that had been frequently sighted in Kamrazipora village, ensuring the safety of local residents.

The incident took place at Kamrazipora village in Pulwama district on September 14.


Visuals showed a leopard was successfully trapped inside a cage, and a large crowd had gathered around the enclosure. People were shouting and making noise, while the leopard, inside the cage, glared intensely at them, its eyes filled with a mix of fear and aggression. The tension in the air was palpable as the animal, confined in the small space, responded to the chaos with a menacing stare.

Wildlife Department officials in Pulwama district have successfully apprehended a leopard that had been repeatedly spotted in Kamrazipora village. The leopard’s presence in the area had caused concern among villagers, leading to increased efforts by the authorities to capture the animal.

The operation, which was carried out with precision, aimed to ensure the safety of the local population and the wildlife. Authorities have not reported any injuries, and the leopard will now be relocated to a safer, more natural environment.
