In a shocking incident in central India’s Madhya Pradesh, a group of people was attacked by a leopard during a picnic outing, leaving several injured.

The incident took place in Shobha Ghat of Khetauli village in Shahdol district on October 20.

Visuals showed the leopard standing near the forest before suddenly charging at the group, sending people fleeing in panic. The video captured chaotic scenes as the leopard attacked multiple individuals. One man, Akash, was the first to be targeted, but he escaped with minor injuries. Nandini, however, suffered severe head trauma as the leopard overturned a portion of her skull. Policeman Nitin Samdariya was also attacked, sustaining a deep head injury during the assault.

According to reports, around 50-60 people were present at the picnic spot when the leopard appeared. Eyewitness Akash Kushwaha, a resident of Shahdol, described the terrifying moment when the animal launched its attack after briefly disappearing from sight. Despite the group’s numbers, the leopard returned with alarming speed, striking multiple victims, including a local woman and a policeman.

Shahdol CCF Ajay Kumar Pandey confirmed that the leopard attack had injured several individuals, although the authenticity of the viral video footage remains under investigation.
