In a shocking incident, lawyers beat up the SDM in his own courtroom in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in a local court, in Kashi district and the video went viral on July 19.

Visuals showed the lawyers attacking the SDM in front of onlookers sparking widespread outrage and concern over the safety of judicial officers.

According to reports, this incident follows a previous high-profile case where a criminal Muktar Ansari was shot dead in a Lucknow courtroom. The matter is under investigation, and authorities are yet to comment on the steps being taken to address this violence in courtrooms.
