Landslide shuts down main road in northern India

The scene was chaotic, with the earth and stones tumbling violently down the mountainside. Onlookers, along with local police, were present at the site, witnessing the powerful and dangerous movement of the land.
According to reports a landslide struck the Rajouri-Kotranka road this morning, leading to an immediate shutdown of the vital route that connects the Kotranka sub-division to the district headquarters in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir.
The closure has significantly impacted local transportation and movement in the area. Authorities have dispatched teams to the site, and slide clearance operations are currently underway to restore the road at the earliest.
