Kids accidentally set parked car in motion, crash into wall unharmed

In a startling turn of events, children accidentally start a parked car, sending it crashing into a wall, though fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The incident took place in Ottapalam town in Palakkad District, Kerala, southern India on December 12.

Visuals show a woman leaving her children in the car as she steps out to buy items. The car’s driver, who had also exited the vehicle, was talking to someone when the accident occurred. The car suddenly lurched in the opposite direction at high speed just as the woman was about to get back in. Despite the driver’s attempts to stop it, the car continued, with the driver falling onto the roadside. The car eventually came to a halt after crashing into a wall on the opposite side. Passersby immediately stopped and rushed to offer assistance.

According to reports, none of the children were injured. The incident took place in the afternoon, as the group had stopped to buy groceries. A major tragedy was narrowly avoided, as there were no vehicles or pedestrians nearby at the time—though buses and other vehicles had been seen on the road shortly before. Authorities have stated that they are investigating the incident and will take action if any violations are found. The investigation is ongoing, with footage being reviewed.
