In a shocking incident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh, a jeweller was captured on video pointing a pistol at another man amid a heated argument.

The incident took place in the Patrakarpuram area of Lucknow city and the video went viral on August 16.

Visuals showed a jeweller, brandishing a pistol during an altercation with another man, while a security guard intervened, urging the man to leave. The distressing scene highlighted the intensity of the confrontation.

According to reports, police launched an investigation into the matter on Friday after the video went viral. Authorities revealed that the initial probe suggested Anubhav Agarwal, the jeweller, drew the weapon in self-defence. DCP (East) Shashank Singh confirmed, “Investigation revealed that Anubhav took out his licensed pistol in self-defence. Anubhav has filed a complaint, and further investigations are ongoing.”
