Intoxicated man rescues from python encounter in southern India

The incident took place at Nandyal, a town in the Kurnool district and the video went viral on October 15.
Visuals showed a man sitting slumped on a couch, clearly intoxicated, his eyes closed and body relaxed. Unbeknownst to him, a large, thick python was draped over him, its smooth, scaled body curling around his limbs. The snake’s dark, patterned skin contrasted sharply with the man’s clothing, creating a striking visual. The python moved slowly, undulating gently as it basked in the warmth of the man’s body. Nearby, curious onlookers watched the surreal scene unfold, some chuckling at the sight of the man completely oblivious to the danger lying across him. The atmosphere was a mix of amusement and concern as locals prepared to intervene.
A lorry driver from Singanapally in Avuku Mandal found himself in a precarious situation after consuming a significant amount of alcohol. Unable to return home, he settled onto a couch, unaware of the potential dangers surrounding him. While he lay there, a python emerged from nearby bushes and began to crawl over him.
Fortunately, locals noticed the unusual sight and quickly sprang into action. Using sticks, they carefully removed the python from the man’s body, ensuring the safety of both the driver and the snake. Despite the size of the python, the man escaped without any injuries.
Witnesses reported that the locals couldn’t help but chuckle at the scene, joking that the python was “dancing” on the man, who remained completely unaware of what was happening. The quick response from the community not only saved the man from potential harm but also ensured the python was safely relocated.
