The incident unfolded on Ambli-Bopal Road in Ahmedabad on November 25.
Visuals showed the dramatic sequence where the reckless Audi driver rammed into multiple vehicles, including a three-wheeler and a Tata Nexon, before crashing into a barricade. What shocked onlookers was his bizarre calmness amidst the chaos—lighting a cigarette like a scene straight out of an action movie.
According to reports, the driver was identified as Ripal Panchal, a resident of Thaltej, who was allegedly intoxicated during the rampage. Witnesses recounted how Ripal’s reckless driving left behind a trail of destruction, angering onlookers who pulled him out of his vehicle, thrashed him, and handed him over to the authorities. Victim Ronica Patil, whose Tata Nexon was hit during the spree, revealed that she lost control of her car and crashed into a divider, while Ripal appeared oblivious to the damage he caused.
Police have booked Ripal and are investigating his intoxication levels and the details of the incident. Ripal’s short remark to the media—”My lawyer will answer”—highlighted a shocking display of privilege and disregard for accountability.
