At an event in northern India’s Delhi, the Indian Navy Chief Admiral drew attention as he held an anti-drone gun designed and manufactured by an Indian company.

The incident took place in the New Delhi district on October 28.

Visuals showed the Admiral holding the anti-drone gun surrounded by Navy personnel and senior officials. One individual was seen explaining the features of the weapon, while the Admiral listened attentively, seeming impressed by the innovation crafted into the form of the gun he held.

According to reports, Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi displayed the indigenously developed anti-drone gun at the Swavalamban exhibition organized by the Indian Navy at Bharat Mandapam. For the last two years, the Indian Navy has consistently highlighted equipment developed within India, showcasing domestic innovations on a global platform.

The third phase of the Indian Navy’s ‘Swavalamban 2024’ seminar, held at Bharat Mandapam on October 28 and 29, will display advanced technology suited for future naval applications, including tools for air and surface surveillance, autonomous surface, celestial, and underwater systems, as well as AI and quantum technology. During a press conference before the event, Vice Chief of the Navy Krishna Swaminathan expressed satisfaction with the recent resolution of the standoff at the LAC, highlighting the importance of these developments in national security.
