In northern India driver drags traffic cop on car bonnet for 2 Kilometres, fined
In a dramatic incident in northern India’s Delhi, a man attempting to evade a traffic check dragged a police officer on the bonnet of his car for nearly two kilometers.
The incident took place in West Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh area on May 24.
Visuals showed how the cop was dragged on car bonnet and when the car finally stopped the two traffic police officials rushed to fine him.
The incident occurred in the Nangloi area, where traffic police were conducting routine checks. When asked to stop, the driver initially slowed down but then accelerated, prompting the officer, identified as Sunil, to jump onto the car’s bonnet in a bid to stop him.
Despite the officer clinging to the vehicle, the driver continued to speed away, with the cop holding on for about two kilometers before the car finally stopped and the officer was able to get off. Remarkably, the driver was let off with a mere challan (fine).
