How not to handle rejections: man attempts to murder minor girl on road

Rahul Kumar, 22, allegedly tried to kill a medical student after she rejected his romantic proposal.

This incident happened in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh in the Amroha district on Jan 5.

Visuals showed Rahul attempting to strangle the student with a scarf on the road while holding her head between his legs. The victim cried out for help as she struggled to breathe. The public intervened in the chaos and rescued her by pulling them apart. She lay on the roadside, writhing in pain, before slowly regaining her breath.

According to the source, Rahul yanked the girl from her scooter while she was on her way home. A case was filed on charges of assault and attempted murder. The police tracked the accused and arrested him.
