In a recent incident in northern India’s Bihar, a hospital was flooded due to massive rains causing massive inconvenience to the patients and caretakers.
The incident took place in Mohania sub-division hospital of Bhabua district on July 3.
Visuals showed the hospital ward grappling with severe waterlogging, with patients confined to their beds. Some patients were seen struggling to get down, while caretakers appeared helpless.
According to officials, Dr. Vijay Kumar, a physician at Mohania Sub-Divisional Hospital, stated that heavy rain has caused the hospital ward to flood with drain and rainwater, forcing the treatment of admitted patients to take place directly on their beds.
According to reports, heavy rains caused flooding in many areas, including the hospital’s trauma center and OT room. Dirty water from the drains merged with the hospital system. Doctors were forced to treat patients on beds amid waterlogging. Patients and their families had to wade through knee-length water to move from one place to another.
