Horrifying! Communal violence surges in northern India after student faces brutal assault outside school
In a shocking incident in northern India’s Rajasthan, a student was brutally stabbed outside his school by another student.
The incident took place at Bhattiyani Chauhatta area under Surajpole police station area of Udaipur city on August 16.
Visuals showed a row of cars set ablaze by protestors, leading to widespread vandalism in the area. The terrifying state of the protests has raised concerns among locals.
According to reports, the condition of the injured student, identified as Devraj, a class 10 student and son of Pappulal Mochi from Khairadiwada, is critical. He was shifted from the operation theater to the ICU after sustaining serious injuries when a knife struck his thigh. Another student also sustained injuries in the clash.
The attacker, Ayan, fled the scene but was later detained by the police. Following the attack, Devraj was rushed to MB Hospital by a school teacher and fellow students. The incident has further escalated tensions in the city, leading to incidents of sabotage and arson in several areas. The District Collector has appealed for peace to be maintained.
Authorities, including ADSP Umesh Ojha, DSP Chhagan Purohit, and Station House Officer My Jabta, have been actively involved in the investigation.
