In a major incident in southern India, a BMTC Volvo bus lost control and collided with multiple vehicles, causing injuries and a traffic jam.

The incident took place at Hebbal flyover in Bengaluru city on August 12.

Visuals showed a slight traffic situation on the flyover when the bus driver lost control, leading to a collision with four scooters and several cars. The bus finally stopped after the crash, prompting locals and passengers to rush to the scene. Heated exchanges were observed between the bus driver and the onlookers.

Speaking to Newslions, Hebbal Traffic Police confirmed that the driver was not intoxicated at the time of the incident. Instead, he mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brakes, leading to the collision with other vehicles. Police have seized the bus, and the matter is under investigation.
