Horrific! Mob lynches Hindu youth over alleged blasphemy in Bangladesh
by Ekta ChaubeyIn a tragic incident in Bangladesh, a Hindu youth was brutally lynched by a mob over allegations of blasphemy.
The incident took place in the Sonadanga residential area of Khulna district on September 4.
Visuals showed a large mob gathered outside a police station, screaming slogans violently in the late hours of the day. Inside the station, the boy was seated, distressed, as heated arguments took place between police officials and the mob. Later, disturbing footage revealed the youth, severely injured and brutalized, lying face down while Army personnel patrolled the area.
According to reports, Khulna Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (South) Md. Tajul Islam confirmed the lynching of the 18-year-old boy, who had allegedly shared posts related to Prophet Muhammad on Facebook. The mob, made up of students from Khulna’s Azam Khan Government Commerce College, demanded the boy’s punishment. Despite police presence and intervention by Army and Navy personnel, the boy was fatally attacked by the mob.
