In a tragic incident in western India’s Maharashtra, a young man was critically injured after being hit by a speeding car. The driver fled the scene, leaving the victim in a dire condition.

The incident took place at Unchagaon village near Kolhapur city on August 30.

Visuals showed the young man walking along the roadside when a car approached from behind at high speed and collided with him with tremendous force. The impact was so severe that it flung the man into the air, resulting in critical injuries. The driver did not stop to assist and instead fled immediately after the accident.

According to reports, a case was promptly registered at Gandhinagar Police Station in Kolhapur. The police have launched an urgent investigation to track down the driver, who remains unidentified at this time. The victim, a resident of Unchagaon village, was reportedly on his way home late at night when the incident occurred.
