A young woman was left seriously injured after a hit-and-run incident where the driver fled the scene in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place in the Neeti Khand area of Indirapuram in Ghaziabad district on June 28.

Visuals showed as a woman was walking along the road, a speeding car suddenly struck her and fled the scene. The impact threw her to the ground, leaving her injured. Nearby, a crowd quickly gathered, their concerned faces reflecting the urgency of the situation. Some were offering assistance while others anxiously looked around, trying to make sense of the chaotic moment.

The incident occurred when the victim was walking in the area. According to eyewitnesses, a car approached from behind at high speed, hitting the woman before speeding away.

The victim sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

As of now, the vehicle involved in the incident has not been apprehended, and no FIR has been registered yet. Authorities are investigating the matter to identify the driver responsible for the reckless act.
