In a groundbreaking achievement, a high-speed train successfully completed its trial run on the world’s tallest rail bridge in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir, marking a significant milestone in modern engineering and transportation.
The incident took place at Chenab Bridge in Reasi District on June 28.
Visuals showed a sleek, high-speed train embarked on its trial run over the towering bridge, its metallic body gleaming under the sun. As it approached the bridge’s starting point, a group of laborers and workers stood nearby, watching intently. Clad in bright safety vests and helmets, they appeared small against the vast structure, their eyes tracking the train’s smooth, rapid progress.
Indian Railways achieved a milestone with the successful trial run on the newly constructed Chenab Rail Bridge, touted as the world’s highest railway bridge. Spanning between Sangaldan in Ramban district and Reasi, the bridge is set to revolutionize rail connectivity in the region.
Minister for Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw, announced the successful trial run of a MEMU train along the Sangaldan-Reasi section of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project in Jammu & Kashmir.
