High-speed tragedy in northern India: woman narrowly escapes after car accident, driver flees

A high-speed accident in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh left a woman narrowly escaping death while lighting a lamp outside her home. The driver responsible for the hit-and-run fled the scene, with local police now investigating the matter.

The incident took place at Greater Noida, under the Surajpur police station area, specifically in Sector Delta 1 on September 13.

Visuals showed a woman was lighting a lamp outside her house when suddenly a speeding car came racing toward her and crashed into the wall nearby. Luckily, the car didn’t even touch her. The woman quickly moved aside and went inside her home, unharmed. Just a few seconds later, the driver of the car sped away from the scene. It was only after hearing the loud crash that the other family members rushed outside to see what had caused the noise.

The woman’s husband lodged a formal complaint with the Surajpur police station, following which the police registered a case. After reviewing the CCTV footage, the authorities were able to identify the vehicle involved. Law enforcement is actively pursuing the driver, and an arrest is expected soon.

The police assured that legal proceedings are underway and that they are making all efforts to ensure the arrest of the accused.
