High-speed crash in western India: Scooter collides with car, resulting in serious injuries
by Aditi VermaA horrific accident on a railway overbridge in western India’s Gujarat led to the serious injuries of a young man and left another critically injured after a high-speed collision between an Activa scooter and an Ertiga car.
The incident took place at Bilimora Railway Overbridge, Bilimora City, Gandevi Taluka, Navsari District on November 19.
Visuals showed the horrifying sequence, where the Activa and the oncoming Ertiga both failed to reduce speed, leading to the fatal crash. The footage captures bystanders rushing to help and arranging immediate medical assistance.
The collision involved an Activa scooter and an Ertiga car, resulting in the death of Dhruvik Patel, a resident of Morli village, and leaving his friend critically injured.
According to sources, Dhruvik and his friend were traveling from Morli to Bhensla village when the incident occurred. Dhruvik sustained severe injuries and succumbed during treatment at a private hospital. The other young man, who was on the scooter’s pillion, is currently undergoing treatment. Police arrived at the scene promptly, seized both vehicles and registered a case against the car driver.
