High-speed car crash in western India claims three lives, injures one

The incident took place near Bhopal bridge in Ahmedabad city on July 1.
Visuals showed the accident, a Fortuner SUV filled with liquor, which collided head-on with a Thar SUV. It was a violent collision where the Fortuner struck the Thar at high speed, leading to catastrophic damage.
According to reports, the injured individual was quickly transported to Sola Civil Hospital for treatment. The Fortuner was reportedly travelling at speeds between 150 and 200 km/h, and the speedometer appeared to be stuck at 200 km/h after the crash.
Due to the rainy weather, police are finding it challenging to gather tire mark evidence at the scene. Additionally, it has been discovered that the Fortuner’s license plate was fake, as it matched the number of a Maruti Alto owned by someone named Jayanti.
The accident occurred when the Fortuner, driven by Om Prakash alias Pappu from Rajasthan, was heading towards Bhopal from Vaishnodevi. The Thar, driven by Ajith Kathi, was making a turn towards Rajpath Club Road when the collision happened. The impact was so severe that the Thar was thrown 150 feet from the crash site, and the Fortuner overturned, ending up 300 meters away.
The victims who lost their lives are: Ajit Kathi, 32, from Viramgam; Manish Bhatt, 52, from Sabarmati; Om Prakash alias Pappu, the driver of the Fortuner.
The injured individual is Rajuram Bishnoi, 24, from Rajasthan, who is currently receiving treatment. The incident highlights the dangers of high-speed driving and the serious consequences of illegal activities such as bootlegging.
