Heroic rescue! SDRF frees man trapped in overturned truck during late-night operation

In a remarkable rescue operation in northern India’s Uttarakhand, the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) successfully extricated a man trapped inside an overturned truck.
The incident took place near Kaudiyala area of Dehradun district on October 6.
Visuals showed the truck tipped onto its side, completely overturned on the road, as rescue personnel worked tirelessly to reach the trapped individual. SDRF officials utilized cutting tools to methodically dismantle the truck’s structure, while others provided assistance and assessed the situation in the darkness, using flashlights and other equipment to ensure a safe rescue. After significant effort, the trapped man was finally extricated, with rescue workers ensuring his safe transfer to an ambulance.
Speaking to Newslions, SDRF Media Coordinator from Uttarakhand Control Room, Lalita Negi stated that the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Narendra Nagar alerted the SDRF team about the overturned truck (UP-14 PT 8478) that had lost control and crashed near Tota Ghat. Under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Mr. Dharmendra Singh, the SDRF team promptly mobilized to the scene with essential rescue equipment. They found that one of the two occupants had already been assisted by locals to the hospital, while the other remained trapped inside. After considerable effort, the team successfully rescued the individual and transported him to the hospital for further medical attention.
