Heroic act! SDRF personnel rescue stranded cow from raging river in northern India

In a daring rescue in northern India’s Uttarakhand, SDRF personnel saved a stranded cow from the powerful currents of the Saryu river.

The incident took place in Bageshwar district on September 18.

 

 

 

Visuals showed rescue officials bravely approaching the stranded cow amid the gushing river. The team is seen carefully maneuvering with ropes to reach the cow and then safely guiding it to the shore. The rescue team ensures the cow’s well-being as they move her to a safer region away from the treacherous currents.

 

 

 

Speaking to Newslions, SDRF constable Vinit Vaibhav from Uttarakhand shared that the district control room in Bageshwar received an urgent call about a cow trapped on an island in the middle of the river at a location called Aare.

Upon receiving the information, Sub-Inspector Shri Rajendra Singh Rawat led a team from Kapkot with rescue equipment to the site. With the help of the fire department and district police, the SDRF team executed the rescue flawlessly, bringing the cow to safety despite the raging waters.
