Herd of elephants cause panic amongst devotees in southern India
In a recent incident in southern India’s Andhra Pradesh a herd of elephants became the cause of panic amongst devotees.
The incident took place at first ghat road in Tirumala of Tirupati district on June 28.
Visuals showed the herd of elephants roaming through the jungle during the late hours of the day, creating an eerie atmosphere for the devotees. The devotees used torches to capture the incident, which left them shocked and distressed.
According to officials, the recent wanderings of elephants caused panic among devotees as they ventured onto the roads. They informed the forest department staff immediately and guided the elephants back into the forest, calming the situation.
