In the central India’s Madhya Pradesh, soaring temperatures have brought air travel to a standstill, causing inconvenience and discomfort for passengers.

The incident took place in an Indigo flight in Bhopal on May 25.

Visuals showed how the passengers were waiting for the flight to take off and were handed compensatory packages instead for the inconvenience caused due to the delay in taking off which was announced by the pilot, reason being the heat made it difficult for the plane to function properly for take off.

A recent incident saw a flight bound for Hyderabad delayed by two hours due to the scorching heat. The pilot of the Indigo aircraft informed passengers that the engine was struggling to perform optimally under the extreme conditions.

As a result, the air conditioning system remained switched off throughout the duration of the delay, leaving passengers, particularly children and the elderly, battling the sweltering heat. With temperatures soaring, the lack of air conditioning compounded the discomfort, making the wait even more challenging for those on board.

This incident highlights the impact of rising temperatures on air travel infrastructure and the challenges faced by both airlines and passengers during periods of extreme heat.
