The incident took place in Nellore city on August 11.
Visuals showed the constable moving swiftly towards the man attempting to take his own life on the railway tracks. The constable was seen helping the man stand up from the tracks and then conversing with him, ensuring his safety and overall well-being.
According to reports, the 31-year-old man, Rajasekhar Reddy, a resident of Ranganayakulapeta, was driven to this extreme step due to family disputes. Constable P. Chennayya noticed the situation and quickly intervened, preventing a tragic incident. He informed the family members and handed Reddy over to them. The constable’s prompt action is being widely praised for saving a life.
