Heartwarming! Sniffer dog gets grand farewell from police headquarters in southern India
In a heart warming incident a sniffer dog was given an endearing farewell from police in southern India’s Telangana.
The farewell took place at police headquarters of Adilabad district on June 18.
Visuals showed the dog getting respected with a beautiful garland. While Police superintendent Gouse Alam felicitated Tara with a shawl and flowers on her retirement from the service at a function organised at the police headquarters. While the other police personnel were clapping for the dog’s exceptional service tenure.
According to reports, The Adilabad police on Tuesday arranged a grand retirement function for its sniffer dog named Tara, a veteran of 12 years. While the police personnel were all praise for Tara who helped resolve many cases and was also deployed on VVIP security duty.
Reportedly officials stated that Tara was born on January 22, 2013, was trained in detecting explosives at the IITA in Moinabad in 2013 and shifted to Adilabad where she was under the care of L. Somanna. Bomb squad incharge J. Prem Singh and dog squad incharge P. Ramesh.
According to reports after retirement, Tara will be placed in the district headquarters, where she will not be assigned any duties.
