Heartwarming! Python rescued safely by locals in eastern India
In a recent incident in eastern India’s West Bengal, a python was safely rescued by the locals.
The incident took place in Gurung Basti, Siliguri in Darjeeling District and the video went viral on June 29.
Visuals showed a local picking up the python with utmost care from a grassy, soggy field in daylight, while a few other locals assisted him. Later, he was seen giving the python a dip in a nearby water body, after which, with the help of his companions, he safely rescued the python.
According to reports, similar incidents have taken place in the region. On June 21, a seven-foot python was found at Salugara BSF camp, rescued by snake rescuer Ravi Roy while another six-foot python was spotted in Samar Nagar, Battala was rescued with police assistance and handed over to the forest department.
