Heartwarming! Officials rescues Pangolin from village in central India
In a heartwarming incident in northern India’s Madhya Pradesh, a pangolin was successfully rescued by the Forest Department.
The incident took place at Bhainsdehi Kevalari area of Panagar town in Jabalpur district.on August 17.
Visuals showed a forest official calmly standing near the pangolin before slowly picking it up with great care. The rescuer handled the endangered species gently, ensuring its safety throughout the rescue operation.
Speaking to Newslions, Forest Range Officer of Jabalpur, Saurav Sharma, stated that the pangolin was rescued at 1 pm after which it was treated the same day and released into a deep forest area. Reportedly pangolins are an endangered species and are often targeted by smugglers in the region who trade them abroad for a hefty sum.
