The incident took place in the Singh Nagar area of Vijayawada district, and the video went viral on September 3.
Visuals showed the father standing in chest-deep water, carrying his baby while the streets were heavily waterlogged. The family was reportedly fleeing the area after severe flooding caused extensive damage.
According to reports, the floods have resulted in significant destruction, with 27 people losing their lives in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Over 200 cars were destroyed, and Vijayawada has been particularly affected, with nearly 275,000 people impacted by the floodwaters. Additionally, 323 trains were canceled in Vijayawada alone due to the flood conditions.
