Heartwarming! cub rescued near cane field in northern India
A heartwarming incident took place in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh where a cub was rescued near a cane field.
The incident took place in the Bhagatpur village of Devipur beat of Maheshpur forest area of Lakhimpur Kheri district on June 27.
Visuals showed locals actively assisting police personnel in rescuing the cub. Together, they formed a dedicated team, carefully coordinating their efforts to navigate obstacles ensuring the cub’s safe rescue with great care and determination.
According to reports, DFO South Kheri Sanjay Biswal stated that there was news of a cub being spotted in the morning around 6 o’clock when he was walking under a banyan tree in the village. Upon receiving the information, Ranger Naresh Pal Singh deployed his team to patrol day and night. Forest inspector Abhishek Kumar, Shivkumar Kashyap, forest guard Ashok Kumar, and watchers were deployed for the rescue.
The team rescued the cub and first took it to Maheshpur Forest Office and it was kept under observation for 24 hours. Reportedly, the cub was 40 days old and was quite weak after the rescue. Later he was sent to Gorakhpur Zoo.
