Heart-warming: Fisherman sets endangered green sea turtle free in western India

by ShravyaIn a heart warming event, a fisherman was found to be rescuing an endangered turtle in western India’s Maharashtra.
The incident took place close to a sea shore in Bandra, Mumbai and the video went viral on June 13.
Visuals showed a fisherman rescuing and releasing an endangered Green Sea turtle which had been entangled in the fisherman’s fishing net. The fisherman can be seen releasing the turtle with utmost care from the net. His companions who were recording the incident can be heard supporting their friend in carrying out this heartwarming rescue in the background.
It is often reported that green sea turtles are found very rarely however they can be found chiefly in offshore waters.
