Head constable lands in village by helicopter after retirement, fulfilling family’s wish
A Head Constable retired and returned to his village in a helicopter, receiving a warm welcome from his family and community members.
The incident took place in Jalalpur village of Rewari district, Haryana, northern India, on December 31.

According to reports, Vijay Kumar, the retired Head Constable, fulfilled his family’s long-standing wish for him to arrive in his village by helicopter. His family was overjoyed, and many villagers also turned up to witness his arrival. Police personnel from the Kasaula police station were present on the occasion.
Vijay Kumar, who previously served in the Indian Army for 17 years before retiring in 2003, joined the Haryana Police and served for 22 more years. He shared, “It was my children’s wish that I should return home in a helicopter upon retirement.”
The helicopter landed on the grounds of the government school in Suthana, located two kilometers from Jalalpur. From there, he was escorted home with drums and trumpets, and a shower of flowers welcomed him.
