Forest officials rescue deer trapped in drain in northeastern India
A heartwarming rescue took place in northeastern India Assam where a deer was rescued from a drain.

The rescue took place from a drain near main road in New Guwahati on June 27.

The footage showed the deer struggling in the drain water while a few forest officials followed him closely. Subsequent footage revealed the officials attempting to trap the deer in a net, with the animal’s movements making the task challenging. Nevertheless, the forest officials persisted and ultimately succeeded in rescuing the deer from the drain.
According to officials, a local was passing by the drain in the early hours of the day when he came across the deer struggling in the drain. He immediately approached the forest department of the region to look into the situation.
According to reports, a forest official stated that, “The deer was discovered in the drain this morning. With the help of our forest staff, we successfully rescued it and have now handed it over to the Assam State Zoo for further care.”

 

Reportedly, the rescued deer is now under the care of the Assam State Zoo, where it will be monitored and assisted with necessary medical attention.
