Forest officials rescue baby elephant from water channel in southern India

The incident took place in Karkudi forest under the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve of Nilgiri district on June 23.
Visuals showed the forest officials trying to rescue the baby elephant that had fallen into the pit by hand, and finally, they managed to take the elephant out. After rescuing the elephant, the officers leave from there. Later, the rescued baby elephant met with the mother, and the forest department was engaged in monitoring the baby elephant.
According to the reports the anti-poaching guards carried out patrolling in the forest area. Then the sound of a baby elephant was heard in a small water channel near the anti-poaching camp in the forest. Following this, the anti-poaching guards visited the area and found a few-day-old cub stuck in the water channel.
After this, based on the information given to the forest department, officers reached the spot in a patrol vehicle and rescued the young elephant. Later, the rescued baby elephant was kept safe with the mother elephant.
