A Royal Bengal tiger was successfully rescued and released into the jungle by the forest department after a health check-up.

This operation took place in northern India’s West Bengal, in Maipit village, on January 12 and the tiger was released on January 13.

Visuals showed a bunch of people in a boat behind safety nets. A man is seen carefully releasing a tiger from a cage by opening the gate. The tiger runs immediately to the forest crossing the river.

According to sources, the forest department personnel promptly came and started the work of enclosing the forest. They captured the tiger using a goat as bait and released it into Sundarbans, a mangrove forest area in the Ganges Delta.
