Floodwaters isolate villages, disrupt train services in western India
Massive rainfall in western India’s Maharashtra have caused floods, isolating villages and disrupting train services.
The incident is of low-lying areas in Dhanani nagar, Boisar and the video went viral on June 20.
Visuals showed the aftermath of massive rainfall. Roads were seen to be submerged resembling rivers, with water could be seen creeping into houses, isolating villages. The video shows how commuting has become difficult in the locality. Locals and residents struggled through waist-deep water while children were visibly distressed amid the chaos.
According to reports, villages have been cut off as small roads went under water, while Dahanu suburban local service is also affected and trains are running late making commuting a challenge to the region.
