Floodwaters bring 15-foot crocodile into residential area in western India

Amidst severe flooding in western India’s Gujarat, a massive 15-foot crocodile ventured into a residential locality, creating panic among the inhabitants.

The incident took place in Kamnath Nagar near the Fatehgunj area of Vadodara city on August 29.

Visuals showed how with a lot of difficulty the men with the help of a loop made with a rope attached to a stick get hold of the crocodile to rescue it.

According to reports, the crocodile, believed to have been displaced from the Vishwamitri River due to rising water levels, was spotted wandering in the urban area. The local authorities and wildlife rescue teams quickly responded to the situation, working to safely capture the reptile. This alarming incident underscores the increasing encounters between humans and wildlife as natural habitats are disrupted by extreme weather conditions.
