According to reports, the Bihar government issued a flood alert due to the swelling of rivers like Kosi, Gandak, and Ganga, following the release of water from the Valmikinagar and Birpur barrages. The situation has already affected over 16.28 lakh people across 13 districts, worsened by incessant rain.
