Firefighting teams spring into action to control fierce forest blaze in northern India

Firefighting teams are working tirelessly to prevent the spread of a massive fire that has broken out in the forests of northern India’s Uttarakhand.

The incident took place at the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary in the Civil Soyam Forest Division in Almora on June 13.

Visuals showed the fire department team was battling the blaze in the outer areas of the jungle. With great effort, they were tirelessly spraying water on the flames, striving to bring the fire under control.

Narendra Singh Kunwar, the Chief Fire Officer of Almora told Newslions that his team did not have permission to enter the forest. Therefore, they are extinguishing the fire from the perimeter to ensure the forest department team can move forward without any hindrance and extinguish the fire effectively.
