Fire rescue team clears uprooted trees, restores road access in eastern India
In a late-night operation, the Fire Rescue team swiftly cleared uprooted trees obstructing a major roadway in eastern India Odisha, ensuring safer and uninterrupted travel for commuters.
The incident took place between Delanga and Chitalpur in the Puri district on October 24.
Visuals showed during Cyclone Dana, numerous uprooted trees blocked major roads. A dedicated team worked tirelessly in the darkness to clear the debris, using powerful chainsaws and equipment. Their efforts illuminated the night as they restored access, ensuring the safety of travelers while battling challenging weather conditions and fallen branches.
According to reports, Odisha’s National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force (ODRAF), and Fire Services teams began rescue and restoration operations, braving perilous conditions to clear roadways and restore access to affected areas.
As the storm continues, the government has urged residents to remain indoors and avoid coastal zones. Restoration efforts are ongoing, and authorities are working to assess the full scope of the damage as Cyclone Dana gradually weakens.
